Praise God that he has given you four wonderful girls who each have their own personality. You must challenge yourself to communicate with each of them. It's like wearing multiple hats. One for yourself and one for each of them. Remember to allow the Lord to lead and guide you to be the best you can be to everyone you meet. I love you, Lord, and I lift my voice to worship you, Oh my soul rejoice! Take joy, my King, in what you hear may it be a sweet sweet sound in your ear.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14956159202516403547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9068250004897741860.post-62740202305262148992013-02-07T12:21:32.647-08:002013-02-07T12:21:32.647-08:00We aren't doing effective ministry if we aren&...We aren't doing effective ministry if we aren't embracing the different parts of us. We have to accept the insane, quirky parts of our makeup or we are failing to work as the body. It does no good for a foot to try and be a hand. Or for a mouth to be an ear. We all have a unique purpose and intention and we are diminishing God's work in us by shunning our responsibilities and trading it in to be someone else.

-Miss Ashley
http://copiousmusings.WordPress.comAshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04371858526049372898noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9068250004897741860.post-38495131666391072972013-02-07T11:46:41.204-08:002013-02-07T11:46:41.204-08:00Very well put Lori, I enjoy reading your blogs, it...Very well put Lori, I enjoy reading your blogs, it does help to understand things a bit better. I agree with the fact that our children can teach us as well. I owe a lot of my own choices, character, reasonings, and behavior to my children. I made those choices because of them. For that, I am thankful, becuase I know without them, I may not have chosen to walk the path I did.
I agree that we do not deserve our children and they are unearned gifts. All of our gifts are unearned because nothing we have was given to us without the sacrifice of Christ. We will never do enough or say enough to "earn" anything because we will never deserve it. However, our Lord gives it to us anyway.
God Bless you.Chosenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07884011854432896704noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9068250004897741860.post-37430249756020922562010-10-05T18:16:58.237-07:002010-10-05T18:16:58.237-07:00I think one of the hardest things for parents to d...I think one of the hardest things for parents to do is hold themselves accountable to their children. Because if we don't, our kids will ask us "why do you do that" or "why do you say that" when we tell them not to. I struggled the whole time my kids were growing up with being the kind of mom they would never be ashamed of, one that I would never have to lie about. I'm the first to tell them yet today that I didn't deserve to have such great kids, that they were a unearned gift. Although we are the parents and our children should answer to us, I believe in areas of character, behavior, etc, we answer to our kids. Because if we don't, if we can't look our kids in the eye, and maintain the type of character we expect them to, that's the worst kind of hypocrisy. I believe the kind of moral platform God calls us to stand on is for all of us, not just for the other person. And if we choose to stand on that platform, we will "run and not grow weary, walk and not faint".

October 4, 2010 3:46 PMAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9068250004897741860.post-65791496802376837552010-09-28T05:58:45.751-07:002010-09-28T05:58:45.751-07:00Love this Blog and it really fits life right now f...Love this Blog and it really fits life right now for you! Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight."
1 Samuel 16:7
"But the LORD said to Samuel, 'Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.'"
2 Peter 1:3-4
"His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires."
I've lived on both sides of money...it doesn't fix problems, it only creates different ones.
